Do we need a gas tax free summer?

I know I’d much rather have my $30 now than work on reducing our dependence on gasoline, getting rid of gas hogs in the next few years and saving much more.

(I don’t have a whole lot of room to talk, since I do own a bit of a gas hog, though in my defense, I would never buy the same vehicle now that I’m older, wiser, and *cough* broker)

Like most people, every time I see gasoline prices rise, I find myself complaining, but there is a bright side to the whole thing.  The more prices rise, the more people will demand alternative solutions, like hybrid, or even better, pure electric technology.  It seems as if hitting people in their pocketbook is the only way to get them to demand change from the automakers.

Anyway… http://www.gastaxscam.com/letter.html
