I just noticed that TrueCrypt 5.1 was released on the 10′th and is available for download now.
Looks like they fixed an annoying issue that has been happening to me with a strange ghost drive letter. And they say a fully encrypted drive will now boot faster. I’m off to go download it now.
Ok, the defrag tools in XP and Vista are slow.
A better choice that I found is Auslogics Disk Defrag.
And I’ve been told that I don’t talk about exciting things here… pfft.
I’ve been using gmail (google mail) for a few months now, and must say that it is one of the best email implementations that I’ve ever seen. I wrote a short article about what I do with it and how I use it in the articles section if you’re interested.
I’m not sure if it’s the #1 rule, but it’s probably pretty close:

Possible #1 rule for keeping secrets: Don’t tell CNN about it.
U.S. launches secret satellite.
I’m making a note here: Huge success.

Clinton’s new ad prattles on about answering the phone at 3:00 in the morning…as if she’s going to be staffing the whitehouse phones.
Anyway, here you go:
“It’s 3:00am and your children are asleep,” the voice over says. “There’s a phone in the White House, and it’s ringing. Something is happening in the world. Your vote will decide who answers that call.”
“Whether someone knows the world’s leaders, knows the military, someone tested and ready to lead. It’s 3am and your children are safe and asleep. Who do you want answering the phone?”
I can answer that with who I do not want answering the phone.. and that’s Hillary Clinton, or anyone who works for her.
Of course, I’d rather it not be McCain either.. That leaves only one other real choice, and I can’t say for sure if he’d be a good choice or not. So it’s down to this: Crappy choice, crappy choice, and a maybe or maybe not crappy choice.
I love politics.
People are arguing that John McCain isn’t elegable to become president because he wasn’t born in the U.S.
He was born on a U.S. Military installation, because his father was there serving his country.
From the weblog:
McCain supporter Senator Lindsey Graham says it would be incomprehensible if the son of a military officer born on a military installation couldn’t run for president. He says it would mean telling every military family their child couldn’t become president if born overseas.
Let me modify that a bit:
Most certainly non-McCain supporter Tyson from twta.org, says it would be incomprehensible if the son of a military officer born on a military installation couldn’t run for president.
The fact that’s it’s even being discussed is insane, and insulting to anyone in the military.
I don’t want the guy to be the next president, but that’s because I don’t think he’s the best candidate for the job, certainly not because of any question about his citizenship.
So “Don’t stop believing” is playing on the radio right now…
I was just a bit too young to appreciate Journey when they were really popular, but my Uncle was not, and he had what might be the best video game ever created:
Of course I’m speaking of Journey Escape. Whenever I hear the song on the radio, this is what comes to mind. (at 6 years old, I hadn’t really heard the album, just the bad Atari-style electronic version) All the hours I spent during my extreme youth playing what has to be one of the strangest ideas anyone has ever came up with. A band that has to avoid the kool-aid man (supposedly a “shifty-eyed” manager), big yellow flying fences, flashing yellow orbs, and groupies who are big hearts with legs attached.
Oh yeah…all of them apparently in space.
Apparently in 1982 all the drugs from the 70’s hadn’t quite worn off yet.
Ok…first of all, great photo. I must start collecting these.

CNN Article
Listening to candidates is always so entertaining… think about what she’s doing standing at that podium, and consider the following:
“There’s a big difference between us — speeches versus solutions, talk versus action,” she said.
“Speeches don’t put food on the table. Speeches don’t fill up your tank or fill your prescription or do anything about that stack of bills that keeps you up at night.”
And where did she make these comments? I’m betting during a speech!
How Clever…
Maybe not worth $150, but clever
